Pastor Chris Toney and Monica

Pastor Chris and Monica Toney have joined us at St. John United Methodist Church. Pastor Chris is not new to the area. He has been an Associate Pastor at Settle Memorial United Methodist for about 3 years. You may also have seen him working with Friends of Sinners, where he volunteers his time.

We are very blessed and thankful to have him as our Senior Pastor. Pastor Chris preaches about God’s love and loving others so you will want to stop by and hear his message.

Sondra Jones

Sondra Jones has been a member of this church for a long time. Now she is secretary too. Please let her know if you have any needs or questions. She is always willing to help!

Sondra was baptized in this church. Her parents were youth directors when she was growing up. Both sets of her grandparents were very active members here at St. John. Her grandfathers could be found tinkering around fixing things that were broken, volunteering at VBS, teaching Sunday School, greeting visitors, and many other things. The prayer chapel at the front left as you enter the church is dedicated in memory of her grandparents on her mom’s side. Her dad served as Sunday School director. As Sondra has grown-up here, she has taught VBS, children’s Sunday School, and served on committees. Both of her daughters were baptized here. Sondra can be found each Sunday singing in the choir and then taking the children back to children’s church.

As you can see, St. John UMC holds a very special place in her heart.
